How nails reveal your health

The next time you admire your nails, take a closer look.

Scratch underneath the surface and discover the way your finger nails can instruct a precise picture of the health.

Nails grow for a price close to 1mm each week - that's two times the speed of toenails - and take around six several weeks to develop from bottom to top. Consequently they behave as a roadmap revealing your health and general well-being.

    May also reveal an individual's mental and physical condition. Cornelis suggests eliminating refined meals, for example sugar and flour, and eating wholegrains, pulses and lots of fresh veggies.

    Brittle nails:

    Indicate liver congestion from insufficient veggies, pulses and seafood.

    Flaky nails:

    Show over-use of sugar, chemicals and prescription drugs.

    Horizontal side rails:

    Indicate high stress levels.

    Vertical side rails:

    Indicate stuffed up liver, renal system, digestion tract and liver stagnation.

  • The form of nails:
